What stories are there in Photoxperience
So let me share the story behind of starting this blog. It all started with the age-old adage that ” a photo is worth a thousand words”. It’s definitely true and every piece of it.
As a child, I was always curious to see the photo albums of my relatives or friends. I was curious to see the pictures and to guess what would be a story behind that moment captured. And after seeing the photos, I would then ask what was happening here, what did you do, etc.
Now since in the digital age where photo albums are fast disappearing and digital albums are the norms of the day. I decided to share the various stories of my photography experience.
A story from a long time ago…
Philosophy of my life till now has been ” Life is Short and while you are on your way experience everything”. This reminds of a campus placement in MBA college. We were a group of 13 aspiring job seekers sitting for the first round of placement process for Leela Kempinski Hotel Group.
My position was I think 5th or 6th. So when the introduction round started with the first candidate as you all must have thought he started with his educational background then onto the family background, hobbies, interests, etc.
In the same fashion candidate number 2,3,4 followed in their introduction. While all this was going on I was bit nervous because of two reasons, firstly you have to be nervous… it’s your damn job selection process and secondly was our moderator. Now you’ll think how can a moderator make one nervous because he doesn’t go around beating up candidates for having rehearsed their introduction speech, on the contrary, he just sits there like a statue and observes you and your conduct.
The story of the American!!
Let me tell you this guy was no ordinary guy. As far as my memory serves me right, he was the V.P of Marketing and to top it all he was an American. Being a person from my field and an American, you know they always make fun of our Indian accent. Which they term it as “rounded” and that they don’t understand it. So even though I didn’t have any rehearsed introduction speech. But I was nervous about the thought that will he be able to understand my “Rounded Accent”?
So as I was hearing the speeches of candidates before me. I thought that the format of speech, in which the first candidate had everyone was following it. I made it a point in my mind that I had to change my speech so that I don’t get lost in the herd. When my chance came, apart from the usual about me my family etc. You know in the end I just added my philosophy of life (my own Blue Ocean Strategy). You won’t believe it after me all other candidates added their own philosophy in their speech.
What stories to look forward to…
Oh!!! god, I digressed so much from what I intended to tell you. Anid you know that’s the main problem with first-time writers/bloggers like me.
